RV Appliances

by James Lyons

Technology has evolved certain RV appliances like RV refrigerators into power conserving devices that require very little maintenance and can draw energy from different sources: propane, shore power, generator, and batteries. With these new appliances, you can choose which mode you would like to use depending on where you are and what you happen to be doing. It makes you feel like the luxuries of home never leave you.

If you decide to go on the road for an extended period of time, chances are you will need to do laundry. Other RV appliances worth looking into are washers and dryers. Life on the road means clothes get dirty, especially if you are venturing out into the wilderness. These days you can find good, water-conserving, efficient RV washers and dryers for under $1000.

Do You Need RV Appliances?

Most RV appliances on the market offer the same function and reliability as your home units. Recreational vehicle units do tend to run a little smaller than at-home appliances but they still accomplish the same things. Often times RV appliances run more efficiently than at home appliances because they are designed to run on limited power. Having a refrigerator, washer, dryer, and/or dishwasher makes for a convenient trip.

Is RVing the right thing for you? Well, the answer to this question depends on a number of different factors. First of all, you need to know what your vacationing and living preferences are. If you enjoy seeing different things and don't like hassling with hotels and air travel, RVing is probably a viable option for you. In addition, if you have children and/or pets, recreational vehicles offer distinct advantages over other forms of travel.
