Leg Press

by Jill Morrison

A leg press is a type of exercise machine that will strengthen your legs and other lower body muscles. The two types of machines to choose from include a vertical or an angled machine. You can find these machines in most fitness clubs and you can purchase them for your home as well.

Options in Leg Press Machines

Vertical leg press machines are designed so that you can lie on your back and push weights vertically with your feet and legs. Angled machines allow you to push weight on an angle rather than straight upward. Both types of machines are effective, it is really a matter of preference on the type of machine you use. Some fell as though the workout is more intense with vertical machines.

Giant and BodySolid make great models of vertical machines. The BodySolid Powerline model has comfortable pads and supports to minimize stress to your neck and lower back. It is also known as an accelerated design for intensely working your hamstrings, quads, calves, and glutes. The Giant model is also a high intensity machine and it features a no-slip foot plate and unique head cradle for greater safety.

The Giant angled leg pressing machine has a new space-saving design. It is perfect for use in your home, but can be seen in gyms as well. It has an extra wide foot plate and a bras brushing slide system for ultra-smooth motions. Best of all, this machine has all the necessary features of an expensive machine, but is offered at a low price.
