History of Sailor Moon

Sailor Moon (Bishoujo Senshi) centers around a teenage girl, adorned in a sailor suit. It began airing in the United States on September 11, 1995 on the Cartoon Network. Produced by Bandai in Japan, the English language version was redone by DIC Entertainment.

Now syndicated, Sailor Moon has become one of the most popular anime series. With appeal for both adults and children, Sailor Moon is packed with intrigue, and allure. The anime series is a dub of a Japanese cartoon is fully translated as "Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon."

Based on a manga (Japanese comic book) by Naoko Takeuchi, Sailor Moon has been exceptionally well-received in the U.S. Its last television episode was shown in Japan on February 8, 1997, and its replacement was created by the same winning staff. The Sailor Moon episodes are a pure joy to watch.
