Batman books bring home stories from one of the most successful comic franchises and one of the most popular characters of all time. Since being created by Bob Kane in 1940, Batman has been in popular cultural continuously ever since. There have been movies, cartoons, television programs, books, and of course, comics about the famous Caped Crusader.

Batman Books for Children

Unlike many of the contemporary comics and cartoons that parents find utterly unappealing, a classic like Batman can bring a family together. And one of the best attributes of Batman books for children is that you can share a character you really love with your child without all of the adult themes that make some of the comics and movies unsuitable for children. First of all, Bruce Wayne became Batman largely because of his parents' murder, a topic you are unlikely to want to introduce to children in a book.

Despite the aspects of the full Batman mythology that make it unsuitable for young children, there are many aspects of the story which are great for children's books. Batman is dedicated to justice and protecting the people and the city he loves. He's also got some of the coolest cars, amphibious vehicles, stealth gear and gadgets of all time.

If you've been sharing Batman with a child who has really become a fan, you might consider looking into personalized Batman books. You could have your child written into a story where he or she meets Batman, Alfred, Robin, Batgirl, and any of the other popular characters in Batman's Gotham City. Your child will be captivated by a story in which he or she helps thwart the next plot by the Joker, The Riddler, or Mr. Freeze, and use his or her imagination for more than sitting in front of the TV.
