Baby Scrapbooks

I do believe that wedding scrapbooks and baby scrapbooks are the most popular forms of albums. These are two times in life that you really want to remember. You know your baby won't be a baby forever. If this is your first child, there is a special quality that you want to remember for life. However, if you are making a scrapbook for your first child, you must do so for any subsequent children. I have many friends who got left out because they were the second or third child and they aren't too happy about it.

If you want to make sure that you capture at least the first year of your precious child's life, but don't know if you have the time or desire to put in what it takes for a fantastic scrapbook, you might want to do a pre-designed one instead. Specially designed baby scrapbooks have places for photos already outlined for you. They have pages for the first time that baby slept through the night, baby's first words, baby's first steps and more. All you have to do is fill in the blanks.

For those who want their baby scrapbooks to be more personal, you will be delighted at the number of decorative papers, accents, stencils, stickers and more that are available for scrapbooks. There are so many ways to create a page for each milestone in your baby's life. As an example, let's look at baby's first steps. You might want to make a photo mat in the shape of a foot. You could make a border of little footprints. Another great idea is to use paint or an inkpad to put actual footprints of your child on the page.

Keeping up with Baby Scrapbooks

When you know that you are going to be making a scrapbook for your child, I suggest making it as the year goes on. Use one or two books specifically for the first year. If you wait until the end of the year to make the book, you will realize that you have way too many photos and way too little time to do the book any real justice.
