Cross Stitch Supplies

Perhaps the easiest way to buy your cross stitch supplies is in a kit. When you order cross stitch supplies this way, you get your fabric, thread, needle, pattern and instructions altogether. Some kits even come with a counted cross stitch hoop! This is a fine way to buy your supplies, if you like all the colors that come with the kit.

Eventually, I found that I was just too fussy about colors to buy cross stitch supplies this way. I always liked a different green from the green that came in the kit, or I wanted the fairy to have red hair instead of blonde, or a pink dress instead of a blue one. Now, I buy my supplies online, choosing my threads separately from the patterns. For most people, this way of cross stitch shopping is too high maintenance. Buying kits works for most people; buying individual pieces works for me.

Cross Stitch Supplies Online

The Internet is just a fabulous place to buy craft supplies of all kinds. I get all my cross stitch patterns online, because the selection is so exceptional. I have a few favorite designers who I return to, again and again. I also love checking out new designers. Looking for patterns online makes it all so easy.

You can easily cross reference patterns, too. That way, you can look up patterns by the name of the designer, or the subject of the design. The Internet makes it easy to differentiate Advent patterns from Christmas patterns, vegetable patterns from fruit patterns, and Alphabet samplers from sayings.
