Photography stock photo images come in multiple file sizes. We understand that investing in stock images is an expensive endeavor, but there is a reason you are doing it. Driving business, establishing credibility, and reinforcing brand recognition are just some of the reasons businesses invest in professional design work.
Cheaper Isn't Always Better
As you browse through the pages of an online photography stock photo site, don't assume the cheapest price listed will work for your project. With a slim budget you can't afford more than a $75 dollar image. The photograph you've chosen comes in three sizes, each with its own price.
Photography Stock Photo Sizes
One, ten and 25 mega-bytes are the file sizes for this particular image. One mega-byte will cost you $49, 10MB will cost you $99 and cost of the largest size is $125. With the budget you have you instantly purchase the smallest size.
Unfortunately for the design project you're working on, a one mega-byte file won't cut it. You soon notice that once blown up to the necessary size, the image becomes pixilated and distorted. What went wrong? Depending on its use, the image needs a certain resolution. If you are unsure of your needs, call customer service and explain your situation.
