Landscape pictures add a wonderful level of dynamism to your home decor. Choose the right photograph, have it framed professionally, and you will not only add a work of art to your collection, but you'll have a new conversation piece. Choosing landscape pictures can easy, especially when you take advantages of resources on the Internet.

Favorite Landscape Pictures

Some of my favorite landscape pictures are those that depict the grandeur of the American landscape. From the rolling hills of the east to the rugged mountains of the west, the United States boasts some of the most breathtaking scenery in the world. For generations, photographers have roamed the country, snapping pictures and immortalizing these almost mythical places.

Ansel Adams was one of America's best landscape photographers. He traveled out west in the early 20th century and photographed places that many Americans (not natives, at least) had never seen. His photographs of what would become Yosemite National Park blow me away every time that I see them.

I also particularly enjoy landscape pictures of our coastlines. Perhaps it's because I grew up near the ocean, but I've always had an affinity for sand and rolling waves. And everyone with a cheap disposable camera knows how irresistible these settings can be--photographs of the sun setting over the ocean are a true staple of any personal photo album.
