Exhaust Headers

Exhaust headers are designed to increase engine efficiency by releasing built-up pressures. When your exhaust headers get closed out or corrupted, your engine won't run as smoothly, because it will have to work harder to push the pistons. Fortunately, you can recalibrate your motor easily by switching out your headers for new and customized auto parts.

Another reason why it's a good move to fix your exhaust headers is that you'll reduce the amount of pollutants you emit into the atmosphere. Especially considering all the recent data about global warming and climate change, it behooves you as a citizen of the world to play your part in eliminating noxious gas emissions. Even though it is but a small step, making your engine more efficient will help.

Better Engine Efficiency with Exhaust Headers

Furthermore, if you live in an urban area, you know firsthand the danger and discomfort of traffic congestion. Although it may not seem like such a big deal to maximize your car's exhaust system, if everyone on the road invested a little time and energy into doing just that, we would see a fantastic reduction in overall emissions. The good news is that these headers are relatively inexpensive to replace.

You can have your mechanic do it for you, or you can even attempt the process yourself. If you do choose to go under the hood, remember common sense and safety. If you have any doubt as to how to reconnect your engine after the fact, consult a mechanic. You certainly don't want to go out on the open highway with a poorly calibrated engine underneath you.
