One type of dash kit that is increasing in popularity in recent years is made with aluminum at its center. Whether it is brushed or not brushed, aluminum dashes look futuristic and elegant, calling forth a whole new style and design that has elements of the past and future. With their sophisticated appearances, it is not surprising that many people are using them in their cars.

Benefits of Aluminum

Aluminum dash kits generally come in two types--either brushed aluminum or regular. One conveys the appearance of of untouched metallic sheen while the other has a more buffed look. Both may work in various vehicles, although many car manufacturers will suggest the best fit for makes, models, and colors. Some aluminum car dash kits have even been stained so that the tinting matches a vehicle's interior.

Coming on an easy-to-apply adhesive backing, many aluminum car kits contain a thin sheet of the metal, then are coated with polyurethane or epoxy for protection of the surface. Because the look is somewhat futuristic and individual, it may take some time to get used to. However, once one has used an aluminum dash trim kit, it may be hard to ever go back to plain plastic interiors.

There are a few different looks for the aluminum offered, and it may take some time to determine the best fit. But with the sophisticated sleekness of the look, it can provide beautiful distinction in many types of vehicles. This is probably why its popularity as a surface for a car interiors is increasing.
