Executive dashboards seem to have been designed recently, considering all the recent hoopla over decorative dash covers. However, this couldn't be further from the truth. In fact, executive dashboards have been around since the early '80s as a result of some early pioneering enthusiasts who dabbled in personalized interior design.

Executive Dashboards Started in the Early '80s
The executive dashboards created then are much like the ones we now see. These days, customers of dash covers are now comprised of the young and stylish. Also, we are seeing these dash covers being sported by people who still love the culture of the late '70s and early '80s.

Either way, executive dashboards are taking on a timeless quality for those who like the idea of increasing the luxury quotient inside their car, truck, or SUV. Nowadays, however, there are many more options when purchasing a dashmat. There are so many colors to choose from, and several choices exist in the type of material as well.

Velour and plush carpet are some of the more popular fabrics, as they are irreplaceably hip and luxurious. Glowing neon is an add-on option that can further create an air of mystique in your vehicle. All of these products can be found over the Internet, meaning people don't have to look far to "pimp out" their vehicles, as they say.
