Planning A Bridal Shower

Planning a bridal shower is different from planning virtually any other type of event. Although all group gatherings entail some degree of work, a successful shower relies on careful planning throughout all stages of the event. It also relies on back up assistance, and it helps to rally the troops whenever possible.

So you're a regular entertainer and have mastered the art of hostess-ing the occasional dinner party or cocktail event. You can time your hors d'oeuvres and your main course seamlessly and still find time to mingle. You even know a thing or two about mixed drinks. This still doesn't quite prepare you for the adventure of planning a bridal shower.

Invitations and Activities

A primary feature that distinguishes a bridal shower from other events is the guest list. As a hostess, you will be responsible for compiling a comprehensive list of potential guests, a task that can be difficult given that the list may include many people you do not know. In addition to sending out invites, you may need to correspond with people at greater length to coordinate additional details of the event.

Of course, guests aside, there is still the matter of what to do during the bridal shower itself. Although the food and the gifts will likely make for ample entertainment, tradition calls for a game or two in the spirit of the occasion. Take some time to look for fun games online. There are plenty of options to choose from and you're bound to find something that fits the bride in question.
