Skin Care Solutions

Skin care solutions are sought by millions of men and women looking for help with a wide range of skin problems. The most common among them are aging skin, blemishes, and cellulite. Solutions for aging skin occupy the whole spectrum, from gentle and non-invasive to surgical therapies. An example of gentle therapy would include anti-aging creams and lotions, facials and massage therapy.

More aggressive yet non-surgical anti-aging skin care treatments include microdermabrasion, in which fine crystals are applied to the surface of the skin to slough off the dead, outermost layer of skin cells. This is a popular therapy to lessen fine lines as well as scars and discolorations. Another more aggressive skin therapy is the chemical peel, in which fruit acids are used to the same effect: to peel off the outermost layer of skin and expose the newer skin underneath.

Laser therapy is also a popular aggressive skin care solution. Like microdermabrasion and chemical peels, laser therapy is used to normalize the skin, which includes lessening the age effect as well as remove blemishes. For the reason of their double benefit, these three aggressive therapies are popular, though they're much more costly than topical lotions.

However, topical lotions are among the most effective treatments for cellulite. Specially formulated anti-cellulite creams, along with endermologie (a rolling suction therapy), do help lessen the dimpled appearance of cellulite, whereas diet, exercise, and liposuction do not. However, these treatments, as with microdermabrasion, peels and laser treatments, need to be repeated on an ongoing basis for lasting effect.
