Christian Hoodie

Christian hoodies, or hooded sweatshirts, are not just good for warmth. They're also an important fashion statement for faithful urban style-masters. Christian hoodies and other urban-styled clothes challenge the idea that Christianity is for "country people," for old people, and not for the gritty urban set.

As a matter of fact, there are more Christians living in the city centers than ever before. Christians have always had a stronghold in cities. Christian fashions should reflect this and offer urban styles as an option, which is exactly what they're beginning to do. They're doing it very well too, I might add, judging from what I've seen on some top Christian apparel websites.

Christian Hoodies and Urban Chic

Urban styles and fashions tend to be darker in color and more edgy in style than those from suburbia. Oftentimes, they tend to be more practical as well, eschewing frills and excessive detail for clean lines and crisp surfaces. This is probably a reflection of the fast pace of city life, and the more reserved nature of its dwellers. There is room for civility in life, but with a little more caution and not too much extroversion. This is the way of the city. Hoodies are a perfect reflection of this urban attitude.

Much to the chagrin of their parents, kids these days love hoodies, jeans, and T-shirts--and the baggier the better. However, what's in fashion will rule with teenagers, and as any parent knows, it's very hard for parents to influence their teenagers in the area of fashion. What we can take comfort in is knowing that there are positive-message, pro-religious urban styles out there, including Christian hoodies, for our kids to wear and enjoy.
