Morning sickness remedies are what many expectant women are after, especially during the first trimester of pregnancy. It is believed that the cause of morning sickness is an elevated level of hormones, which can bring on nausea and, in some cases, severe vomiting. While this condition tends to subside as the fourth month approaches, it can linger throughout the entire gestational period.

Aside from some of the traditional morning sickness remedies, such as ginger ale and saltine crackers, there are some more modern approaches to this dilemma. For instance, there are many natural bath and body products that are designed with the expectant mother in mind. There are body lotions, body oils, and hormone balancing candles that contain fragrant healing oils that soothe the nerves, settle the mind, and induce relaxation.

If there is ever a time in a woman's life that her hormones run amuck, it is during pregnancy. The nausea that can ensue is never fun, and it can be downright impossible to function if the nausea is accompanied by dry heaves and vomiting. Fortunately, with a bit of strategic planning, those who suffer from this condition can use some morning sickness remedies that are worth a shot.

Aromatherapy Morning Sickness Remedies

Lavender and chamomile are excellent at relaxing a mother-to-be if she is feeling anxious and upset. Peppermint is also great at reducing nausea, which is a common affliction among expectant moms. Other wonderful essential oils that help soothe throughout the whole nine months include: tangerine, sweet orange, patchouli, and vanilla.
