Birkenstock sandals are synonymous with comfort. Their popularity escalated dramatically in the 1970s. In particular, the Arizona sandal became the symbol of the brand. It has become a classic that is still very popular today. While the Birkenstock line has expanded to over 400 styles of sandals, shoes, and clogs, sandals remain the best sellers.

Choices for Birkenstock Sandals

Birkenstock produces sandals for men, women, and children. The original sandal, the Arizona, is worn by all three. It is the classic two-strap design with adjustable buckle straps. The Birki's line offers water-resistant sandals. All sandals in the line provide the health benefits of contoured insoles with arch supports. They adjust to the shape of individual feet and become more comfortable with time.

Women's options for Birkenstock sandals include the Florida, which is a classic three-strap with a suede-lined footbed. Soft footbeds are available with an extra layer of foam between the lining and the footbed. Other choices are the Gizeh, a classic thong, and the Bridget, a single-band slide. The Morgan is a cross-strap style while the Tabora has a cross-strap and toe loop with an adjustable strap.

Birkenstock sandals for men offer the Massachusetts, a hand-stitched two-strap traditional sandal with a back strap. The Lincoln is a Fishermen's style complete with rubber tread. The Ottawa is a rugged outdoor sandal with a footbed that is removable for air drying. It has two Velcro straps and a back strap. Every style is available in a variety of materials and colors.
