Bridal Corsets

By the time you go shopping for bridal corsets, you may not have worn a corset in years. Apart from actresses, who throw on corsets every time they do a period piece set before the 20th century, most women wear corsets only occasionally. They often wear them for the first time for their proms, or other formal school dances.

The next time most women think about girdles and shapeware for women is when they go shopping for their bridal corsets! To these women, I strongly suggest buying a different corset, and getting used to it before the wedding day. Wear a corset and stockings to a fancy party or a romantic dinner. Get used to sitting, standing, and dancing in one. It only takes a few days to get used to the feeling of a corset. By the day of your wedding, you want wearing a corset to feel comfortable and natural.

Beautiful Bridal Corsets

Bridal corsets are among the most beautiful in the world. They are often made of white silk brocade or white cotton, and trimmed with a variety of beautiful details. These might include lace, sequins, or ribbons.

Many of these corsets have attached garter belt straps, designed to hold up the stockings. You probably won't want to go bare legged on your wedding day, and you probably won't want to wear pantyhose, either, so garters are a nice touch. Choose stockings in ivory, white, or nude, for a classic look.
