Camisole bras are an old idea with a new face. The original bras, as developed by Maidenform in the 1920s, were a cross between a bustier and a camisole. Today's camisole bras look quite different, but they follow the same basic principles of design.

The Newest Trend in Lingerie? Camisole Bras!

Camisole bras are making a comeback for a couple of different reasons. First of all, many women find them far more comfortable than your average bra. If you don't like the feel of a bra strap, you might want to consider camisole bras as an alternative.

Another reason women today are turning to camisole bras is simply that they look nice. A lacy camisole paired with a matching boy short is attractive and often times more flattering than regular underwear, at least for certain body types. If you want to drive your lover wild, you might want to consider one of these matching camisole and underwear sets--it should definitely get results.

Camisole bras are also useful when made as shapewear because they can hold in any bulges or rolls that might currently be sitting on your upper torso. They also function well with see through tops. Wearing a regular bra under such a top is a risky move as it might offend some people, but a camisole, which resembles a tank top, is much safer and more professionally appropriate.
