Larger women need maximum support underwire bras. This is particularly true for women who are pregnant or nursing. My mother told me that the secret to keeping your shape throughout pregnancy is to keep your bra on at all times. Pregnant women should wear maximum support underwire bras even while they sleep. The bras should be taken off only to shower or bathe.

The Straps on Maximum Support Underwire Bras

The straps on maximum support underwire bras should be very well stitched, to give them great strength. You don't want your straps tugging loose after a few weeks of wear. Strong elastic straps with very strong stitching should do the trick nicely.

You'll also want the straps to be wide, and comfortable. If you are very large, you're probably used to straps that bite into your shoulders. This can cause skin irritation, as well as muscular tension. The shoulders are apt to be tense, already. You don't need to irritate them by wearing straps that dig into them.

Look for bras with a number of hooks in the back. Look for at least three or four hooks. Forget about those little one hook bras designed for smaller women. They may be pretty, but they won't give you the support and shaping you need. Fortunately, with the help of the Internet, it's now possible to find plenty of beautiful, fashionable bras designed for women with very large breasts.
