Advanced skincare helps prevent the signs of aging. As we grow older, the cells in our skin regenerate more slowly. Collagen and elastin, the building blocks of the skin, break down. Elastin is a protein found in the skin that gives it its elasticity. Collagen is a protein that gives skin its ability to bind. When elastin and collagen are produced more slowly due to aging, skin becomes less elastic and firm.

Advanced skincare can help these cells to regenerate more quickly. Skin care products that encourage cell regeneration lead to firmer, plumper skin. These anti wrinkle products often come with some form of sunscreen as well, since sun damage and UV rays are so devastating to the beauty and integrity of the epidermis.

An Advanced Skincare System

Advanced skincare systems address the skin's multiple needs. The skin must be cleansed, moisturized and polished. Polishing helps slough away the dead cells of the epidermis. These dead cells give the skin a dull, dry appearance. Exfoliating them away improves the skin's look, and also encourages cell regeneration.

Cleansing is necessary to prevent blemishes and other break-outs. It also prepares the skin to be moisturized to its best capacity. When the face is washed then patted dry, a thin layer of water is often left behind. Moisturizing directly on top of this wet layer helps seal the moisture into the skin. The epidermis (the top layer of the skin) is much dewier and fresher, as a result.
