Anti Aging Skin CareWritten by Blaire Chandler-Wilcox Not all anti-aging skincare has to come from a tube, bottle or jar. Though topical applications have their purpose, many of our daily actions can greatly reduce our need for serums and magic potions. Multiple independent studies show that the passage of time has the least impact on why and how our bodies age. The majority of aging, in this modern time, is a result of our behaviors and our exposure to pollutants. Low-Cost Anti-Aging Skin CareThe number one thing we can all do to protect our skin from premature aging is protect it from the sun. Wear an SPF 15 sunscreen every day. Winter, spring, summer or fall, the sun is shining. The sun is in the sky on snowy and rainy days. If the sun is up, ultra violet rays are out there, whether you can see them or not. Glass only blocks UVB rays, not UVA rays. It is never too late to begin protecting yourself. Buy a good facial sunscreen immediately. Also wear hats and sunglasses when outdoors. Free radicals are the next complexion killer. Free radicals are unstable oxygen molecules. They are knocking around inside our bodies, and in the environment around us. Free radicals long to be stable, and so they zip around stealing what they need from healthy molecules in our bodies. The result is weakened cells, which are more vulnerable to aging. Drink those eight glasses of water (this provides oxygen to the body). Also, don't smoke and do take antioxidant supplements: they work. Don't sleep on your side or stomach. Crunching your face into a pillow for eight hours at a stretch, night after night, every day of your life is going to have an impact. Sleep on your back. Sleeping on your back will reduce not only facial wrinkles, but neck wrinkles resulting from twisting your head to the side if you're now a stomach sleeper. Other tips include avoiding hot tap water when washing your face, which can age skin, and practicing little facial massages. Mini-facial massages improve facial circulation and give those little muscles a break, which can actually result in a flatter, smoother appearance.
