Avotone is a cream that contains special ingredients that relax facial muscles. Relaxing facial muscles results in a "flatter" skin appearance, making wrinkles less noticeable. Avotone is considered a Botox alternative, and is said to provide results typically likened to plastic surgery.

An Alternative to Botox

Avotone's active ingredients include acetyl hexapeptide-3, and advanced collagen builders. These ingredients have been shown to relax--not immobilize--muscles to the point that wrinkles caused by specific muscular movements seem to disappear. It's been found to be particularly effective in the diminishment of wrinkles around the eyes (crows feet), between the brows, and along the forehead.

As it diminishes the appearance of these lines, so too does it slow down further aging to the skin from repetitive muscle movement. The muscles, being relaxed, don't respond as severely as they would to regular facial reactions. As a result, further damage is avoided during the time Avotone is used.

Avotone products have been likened to non-surgical facelifts. Unlike facial injections which offer similar results, Avotone may be used anywhere on the face. Many consumers state that results are nearly immediate. However, product packaging states that it may take up to two weeks for results to be noticeable. Avotone runs about $90 an ounce, so you may want to read product reviews and consumer testimonials before purchasing.
