Cellex-cWritten by Blaire Chandler-Wilcox Cellex-C products contain patented formulations of supercharged vitamin C creams, serums and lotions for the eyes, face, neck and chest. Cellex-C products provide powerful anti-aging antioxidants to the skin. Results from usage are said to be dramatic, and noticeable within a few weeks. Just a Little Something I Whipped upCellex-C started out as a kitchen experiment by cellular biologist Lorraine Meisner. Dr. Meisner, who has spent the majority of her career fighting breast cancer and malignant melanomas in Wisconsin, essentially "whipped up" the formulation in her kitchen as a lark, to prove there were better alternatives to skin repair than potentially harmful products like Retin-A. Though she tried her experimental solution on friends and family, with remarkable results, the respected scientist remained quiet about her discovery for several years, thinking it was frivolous. Dr. Meisner has been quoted as saying that many other types of skin-care repair, to her, could be likened to "pulling a tight sheet over a lumpy mattress." Dr. Meisner felt that instead of treating skin damage symptomatically, one should try to repair the actual underlying damage, or "fluff the mattress" itself. Her original formulation, now marketed as "Cellex-C" combines 10 percent pure vitamin C with tyrosine (an amino acid) and zinc. There are now close to 50 Cellex-C products available on the market. Like most highly reputed products, Cellex-C products range in price from $40 to over $150 per article. However, for those serious about skin care, skin repair and skin protection, Cellex-C products are worth a look. You may be interested in the Cellex-C serum, though the formulation is now found in multiple products within the line, including eye creams, lotions, skin firmers, neck creams and more. A starter kit is available, which features both the serum and the special hydration complex which contains hyaluronic acid for optimum moisture retention.
