Obagi Skin Care

Obagi skin care prides itself in actually going below the skin's surface to the cellular level. It doesn't just get those annoying outer layers, but penetrates deep to solve the problem where it begins. This action is so important because if we just get our outermost layers, there's another layer waiting just below the surface that is more than likely not much better than the one we just got rid of. It's a problem that goes deeper.

As we age, we lose the skin look that we really want. How many of us would be ecstatic to have baby skin? Skin that is soft, smooth, glowing, not a blemish in sight is something we would all love. I'd take it. Obagi skin care tries to get us back to that as much as possible by promoting cell regeneration. As time goes on our cell production slows down and our skin is attacked by all sorts of elements. We need our cells to start doing their job more quickly again, and that's the aim of Obagi.

Obagi Skin Care-Healing at its Core

Obagi skin care is there to help you as an individual and take care of those individual needs. Obagi will set you up with a doctor who is trained specifically in Obagi care. He or she will go over your needs and goals and suggest a skin care routine that is best for you. This routine will consist of several steps. First, you will prepare the skin by washing and toning. Then, you will stimulate the skin followed by protection. Lastly, you can help control your skin from the first few weeks of treatment. This last step is optional.

The Obagi system is generally six weeks. That's six weeks to see the results you're looking for, not six weeks and you're done. No matter what skin routine you choose you have to continue it in order to maintain your results. After the first six weeks, however, if you are not satisfied, discuss with your consultant and possibly try a new routine.
