You need to pamper yourself every once in a while. You can retreat to your own bathroom and transform it into the ultimate relaxing zone. Relaxation and wellbeing have long been associated with bathing and water. You already have a primordial connection to water, being that you started your life in your mother's nurturing womb, which is in itself a watery environment. Communing with water, and the importance of cleansing the body, mind, and spirit has been a tradition that dates back to the ancient cultures of Greece, Egypt, and Rome.

The sensation of being in water, showering and bathing, is a sensual one for many of us. Because of this, the bathroom tends to be one of our favorite relaxation zones, due to the abundance of flowing water. It is the perfect place to cocoon yourself, hide away from the outside world, get in touch with your most unaffected and fundamental needs, and moreover, it is the closest you can get to a spa environment in your own home.

You Can Pamper Yourself at Home

For most of us, going to a spa is a rare treat. A spa ensures an ideal environment to rejuvenate, unwind, and detoxify, things that we all need to do for ourselves from time to time. However, your own bathroom is always conveniently just moments away. You can create a taste of what you would find at a spa, in your own home- and the best news is that is neither expensive, nor time consuming.

After having relaxed in a nice, hot bath, exfoliate your skin, followed by a thorough cleansing. By putting your face over a bowl of steaming water for fifteen minutes, covered with a towel, you can steam your face. Next put a facial mask on, for a thorough skin treatment. While your face is being treated give yourself a pedicure and manicure. It is important to find the time to pamper yourself. Your skin will glow with gratitude.
