Sun Protection

Sun protection is a must, unless you want to age like a shriveled raisin. I, personally, do not, so I make sure to put on sun protection every day. I wear sunscreen rain or shine, summer or winter, during days off and days at work. The only time I forget about sunscreen is at night.

Fortunately, sun protection is very easy these days, since many good skin care products come with built-in sunscreens. Since moisturizing should be a part of your morning ritual anyway, just use a cream or lotion with a built in SPF of at least 15. It couldn't be easier.

Sun Protection and Sun Repair

Perhaps you now take good care of your skin, but weren't so smart about sun in the past. A lot of us were high school tanning junkies. Now that we're older, the consequences of looking nut brown for the prom are starting to become obvious.

In addition to fine (or not so fine) wrinkles and lines, sun damage can often result in discoloration. Fortunately, there are washes that mitigate the signs of sun damage, by evening out the tone of the skin. Look for a hyperpigmentation wash to help you treat your discoloration.
