Novelty Socks

Novelty socks make great gifts. You can buy fun socks for family members, friends, loved ones, or even acquaintances. They are especially fun tucked into a care package. Is your daughter away at college, or off on her own, living in a faraway city? Let her know you're thinking about her, by sending socks for the holidays.

Novelty Socks and Loving Care Packages

My mom first started sending me novelty socks when I went away to college. For Easter, she might send me a few chocolate eggs, a card, and a pair of short socks with Easter bunnies all over them. They were light enough that she could still send them in a padded envelope, rather than having to go through the hassle of sending a box.

Over the years, my mom has sent me shamrock socks for St. Patrick's Day, witch, ghost and pumpkin socks for Halloween, candle socks for my birthday, wreath socks for Christmas, and heart socks for Valentine's Day. Plus, since my family nickname is Ladybug, I have more pairs of ladybug novelty socks than you could shake a stick at.

These socks are so much fun sent in a care package, but they are also terrific tucked into a Christmas stocking, or given as a Secret Santa gift. They are a sweet little gift for someone in your workplace on her birthday. Socks are just such an easy, inexpensive, yet useful gift to give.
