Bandeau Swim Wear

One of the primary reasons for going to the beach is to get a great tan. Most people take this into consideration when they buy a swimsuit because the swimsuit will leave tan lines. Of course, one way to minimize tan lines is to go topless. For most of us, however, this is not an option.

So, if you want to minimize tan lines without going topless, bandeau tops are a great choice. A bandeau suit has a strapless top. Bandeaus come in one-piece suits or two-piece suits. They can be found in a variety of different colors and patterns.

When to Wear a Bandeau Suit

There are so many things to do when going on a beach vacation. Maybe you will go to the beach or out on the water during the day and out to dinner or a club at night. The only problem is that when you put on a dress for nighttime activities, the tan lines from the suit you wore during the day inevitably can be seen. If you wear a traditional string bikini or a tank one-piece, and you want to wear a strapless dress later, your shoulders will look ridiculous.

Only bandeau tops can prevent any tan lines from developing on your shoulders. They do, however, cause tan lines in between the breasts, so they are not a good choice if you are planning to wear a low cut shirt or dress later on. Likewise, they will produce tan lines across the back to some degree depending on the cut.
