Reward incentive programs are not a one-size-fits-all success strategy. Every business that considers rewards incentive programs does so for different reasons. Fortunately, those companies that specialize in designing reward incentive programs are aware of this fact and will work with you to design a customized plan.

A Guide to Customized Reward Incentive Programs

The first thing to realize is not every business is suffering from the same problems. For example, one business may have great employee attendance, but need some serious help getting their employees to follow safety guidelines. Another company may have no problem with workplace safety, but have some major issues meeting projected sales goals.

Once the problem area has been determined, the design process can begin. The next step is getting a sense of your business operation; for instance, reward incentive programs created for large corporations may work differently than an incentive program fashioned for a smaller business.

Another aspect of the incentive program that can be customized is what type of rewards you want to give. Some employers like giving monetary bonuses because it's a relatively simple procedure. Other executives feel that money is too impersonal and opt instead for a select a gift program where the reward recipients can choose gifts of their liking.
