There is a process involved with the data analysis. The first step is to gather data from a data source. The data received from the data source is stored in an application, spreadsheet or database. The data is then transferred into a data warehouse where the raw data is stored until it is analyzed. The raw data is analyzed and transformed into useful information. The information is then reported in a variety of different formats.

Formats for Data Reporting

Once data is stored into a data warehouse information can be delivered through a range of vehicles. Software applications can retrieve information from a database or warehouse and present the requested information in an easy to understand format. Software programs will create charts and reports that allow the user to visualize the results of a query.

These reports can be printed and presented in a professional booklet form. Reports can also be published on a company network to allow employees easy access through workstations. Reports may also be made available through the internet for easy access for any employee or individual to read.

Businesses will benefit from a streamlined data reporting process. Having fast and easy access to the data warehouse and reporting capabilities will increase the efficiency of the business. A company that has a sound data reporting process can quickly adapt to changing market conditions. A fluid, evolving company can compete better in the market place.
