Fundraising Ideas

When it comes to fundraising ideas, the sky's the limit. You don't have to limit yourself to the conventional candy selling and magazine peddling of years past. The more exciting a fundraiser is, the more likely your students or team members will take an active role in raising the money they need.

Some newer fundraising ideas that may work well for your organization involve selling gift cards or gift certificates for someone's favorite store. Other ideas involve selling coupon books, so the money someone spends to support your organization will come back to them in the form of savings. People like having a choice when it comes to fundraisers.

Easy Fundraising Ideas

Another way to get everyone involved in formulating fundraising ideas is to ask for suggestions from team members or schoolmates. Chances are, they may have ideas that you may not have considered. The more involved people are, the more motivated they will be. Kids may be more excited about selling discount amusement park tickets than selling wrapping paper and candles.

Fundraising ideas can be as simple as the classic lemonade stand, or more elaborate, like benefit dinners and cocktail parties. Different as they may seem, they will both benefit your organization. Think of your target audience, and plan your fundraiser accordingly. Find something that brings in the money and go with it!
