Unique Fundraisers

All it takes is a little imagination when planning unique fundraisers. Depending on your team or organization, a fundraiser can be as exciting as a day at the amusement park, or as refined and dignified as a night at the symphony. You want to create a memorable experience for your clients and customers, all while reminding them of the great cause they are supporting with their time and money.

One of the more popular unique fundraisers catching on at schools across the country involves auctions. Local community members such as chefs and carpenters volunteer a predetermined amount of time or service to the highest bidder. The winner of the auction can receive unique items like a gourmet four-course dinner or a new tree house for the kids. It's a cleaner take on the date auctions frequently seen at fraternities and sororities.

Unique Fundraisers are FUN-raisers!

Another unique fundraiser could be a dance-a-thon or scavenger hunt. Community members will pledge a certain amount of money based on how many hours a couple is able to dance, or how many interesting items a scavenger team is able to find. All you need is a little bit of creative thinking to come up with a unique fundraiser that will fit your organization perfectly.

Unique fundraisers take the "blah" and boring out of the fundraising process. Who really gets excited about selling candy bars or wrapping paper? When your team or group members get involved in the planning process, they are much more concerned and invested in the outcome of the project.
