The Epson C80 inkjet is one of the affordable Stylus line of Epson printers. This printer is manufactured to maximize speed, quality, and features within a reasonable price range. It prints black text at up to 20 pages per minute, at 2880 x 720 dots-per-inch (dpi) resolution.

Designed for optimal desktop color printing, this machine has quality output on many types of media, including plain paper. The input paper tray can hold 150 sheets; the output tray can hold 30 sheets. With a length, width, and height of about 22 inches, 18 inches, and 11 1/2 inches, respectively, this Epson C80 Inkjet takes up little space.

Quality Ink and Cartridges

Cartridges either have pigment inks or dye-based inks. The C80 Epson ink cartridges come with DuraBrite, a pigment ink. This particular formulation has a denser concentration of pigments than some other Epson printers. This means the C80 produces better black text and color printing on plain paper than other models. Keep in mind that C80 compatible cartridges have a yellow tab that must be removed before inserting the cartridge.

DuraBrite is water resistant on all media, and light resistant for up to 70 years for media under glass. This is considered archival quality because it extends the common preservation life of printed items. DuraBrite gains its high-quality advantage because its pigments are encapsulated in a resin polymer. This Epson inkjet cartridge comes with four-color, drop-on-demand technology.
