Epson Printer Cartridges

Generic Epson printer cartridges are cartridges that are compatible with the brand. They are factory new--not refills. Made by a third party, rather than the brand-name manufacturer, these generic products meet or exceed the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) specifications.

Although they are completely compatible, these cartridges cost a lot less than their brand-name counterparts. An Epson inkjet cartridge is expensive, and if you do any amount of printing at all, you know the cost mounts rapidly. If you print much besides text--photos, artwork, graphics--you know how much you can pay out for famous brands of cartridges.

Compatible Supplies

Epson compatible inkjet cartridges should duplicate the quality of Epson ink and the performance of the cartridge. If manufactured to the specifications of the brand, the mere lack of the brand label does not diminish function. Epson printer cartridges are duplicated by generics, and that fact should mean Epson production.

Warranties may be a concern for consumers who have not previously been aware of generics and remanufactured ink cartridges. The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Improvement Act protects a warranty even when compatible products are used. Epson and other famous companies are careful to state, however, that if the generic product fails and damages the machine, the warranty will not cover that damage.
