When it it important to use two-ply receipt paper rolls instead of one? Businesses find that using two-ply cash register rolls helps save a lot of valuable time for their employees. If you haven't noticed, it's possible to buy one-ply, two-ply, and thermal receipt paper with relative ease, especially in volume on the Internet, so whichever paper type will suit you can be easily come by.

How should you figure out which type of receipt paper rolls you want to buy? First of all, it depends on the type of printer you're using. If it's a traditional printer, which uses a regular printer ribbon, then traditional bond paper is your only choice. Here, you will choose how many plys your receipt paper rolls should be.

If you select a one-ply paper roll, you won't have to change the roll nearly as often as you would with a two-ply roll. However, two-ply rolls come in handy by automatically printing out duplicate copies so that you don't have to run a long printout at the end of the business day. This saves a considerable amount of time!

About Thermal Paper Rolls

If you've been thinking about switching to using thermal paper as your receipt paper, then you'll need to invest in a different printer. These machines don't use ink ribbons, but instead use a heated stylus to transfer images and numbers to the chemically treated paper. If you do a little research, you might agree that the cost savings on ink, the increased efficiency, and the higher quality warrant make purchasing a thermal tape printer well worth it.
