Ergonomic chairs provide excellent spine support, and also contribute to a more comfortable workspace. If you're shopping for a chair for your office, you need to make sure to invest in one that offers lumbar support, seat height adjustment, and the ability to tilt back and forth.

Many people think the best way to sit at your desk is in an upright, 90 degree angle, but this simply isn't true. Instead, you want to sit in a slightly reclined position. This position provides relief to your spine as you sit for long hours at your desk. You need to find a comfortable position, but you also need to make sure to get up and move around every couple of hours. This helps to increase circulation and concentration levels, and also helps to give the back a break.

Tips for Adjusting Your Office Chair

If you use an ergonomic chair in the workplace, you need to know how to adjust it for maximum comfort. When you adjust your chair properly it helps to prevent fatigue, and protect you from lower back pain. If you're trying to adjust seat height, you need to make sure that you reach a level where you can place your feet flat on the ground.

One of the best ways to ensure that you're not putting pressure on the shoulders, arms, or wrists, is to check the angle of your hands on your keyboard. If you place your elbows on the arm rests of your chair, you should be able to create a ninety-degree angle when you place your hands on the keyboard. If the angle is more you risk straining your limbs, and if the angle is less, you risk pinching your joints.
