Foil stamps can be embossed onto a variety of documents, books, and products in business. You can also use them for labeling gifts, invitations, announcements, or scrapbooks. Foil stamping is considered to be a form of embossing because stamps are applied top products with heat and pressing.

Uses for Foil Stamps

Foil stamps can be used for decorating, marking, labeling, identification, and for security reasons. You can use the stamps on a variety of products including cards, stationary, labels, leather, vinyl, or plastic packaging. The stamps will add a special decorative element to any product and will help others to identify your products. After the foils have been applied, the result is permanent. The foils are long-lasting and durable after being stamped to a product.

There are many different types of foil colors that you can choose from in foil stamping. Metallics, such as gold and silver, are commonly used in business and for other social events. You can also choose from a rainbow of colors of pigmented foils which work well on many surfaces. Dye-less foils can be used instead of pigmented foils, and they offer cost savings and improved running speeds over other foils. Foils may also have holographic or special effects, or may have a pearl or pastel finish.

Foil stamps can be found from various vendors. You can purchase your own stamps and stamping equipment if you have the budget and knowledge to do so. Most will seek the services of a printing company for foil stamping. Then, products can be stamped in bulk amounts and can be finished quickly. Some printing services will allow you to order products with foil stamping from their websites as well.
