Inkjet printing material is seemingly endless. Various inkjet systems and specialty inks can manage to imprint codes and markings on products of almost any size, shape, or texture in any industry. From tiny text to colored graphics, inkjet technology provides an affordable solution to business needs for printing.

For porous substrates--wood, paper, corrugated cardboard, or fabric--water-based inks are formulated for excellent penetration and quick dry time. Drying is through absorption, and takes place immediately, or in up to two seconds. Using zero ohm water as the basis for these extraordinary inks, a chemically-bonded fluid is obtained that permanently marks inkjet printing material.

Non-porous substrates--metal, glass, plastic, rubber, or coated cardboard--require a very different kind of ink since water will not penetrate them. Solvent-based inks do the job of affixing permanent markings, and drying is through evaporation. It is essential that dry time be quick and adhesion be excellent so markings are not disturbed and blurred or destroyed on the inkjet printing material.

Only pure chemicals are used in order to produce fine inks that are free of sludge or any residue that would clog inkjet marking systems. High-quality solvents, dyes, and resins are blended in special formulations and then filtered several times to ensure purity. Lab testing confirms the end result, and ink retains from each batch are recorded and stored. These inks for non-porous surfaces are alcohol-based, and come in a variety of formulations to meet business needs: fast- to faster-drying, PVC penetration, lightfast, and ultraviolet.
