Six Sigma CompaniesWritten by Nicholas Kamuda Many Six Sigma companies are firms that specialize in offering custom training to business leaders who are looking to increase productivity and modernize their operations. There are a variety of small firms that offer different kinds of training and consultation services, many of which have concentrations in different aspects of modern system organization. There are also some Six Sigma companies that are organized more like their academic brethren, such as Motorola University and the Six Sigma Academy. Types of Training from Six Sigma CompaniesThere are three main types of training that are available from Six Sigma companies. The most common is Black Belt training, and it is available for individuals who have a desire to help develop Six Sigma strategies for businesses and successfully implement those strategies. Black Belts are responsible for analyzing operations and taking production to the next level of efficiency. Green Belt Training is also available from many Six Sigma companies. Green Belts work alongside Black Belts to guide a business through a period of changing operations. They also help teams of employees process the huge amounts of data that are the result of in-depth analysis. Last, but certainly not least, are Six Sigma Champions. Champions have the unique responsibility of overseeing Six Sigma programs, including selecting Black Belt candidates, defining program scope, and allocating the appropriate resources to the new operational programs. Champion training is available from Six Sigma companies and Academies alike.
