Some national trade events such as the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) has thousands of exhibitors participate in the annual conference in February. While this event is a must-do for all vendors for health information management, attracting prospects can be difficult at best.

Large Conference Expositions

With more than 3,000 attendees HIMSS is one of the largest healthcare technology events of its kind. Attendees walk the show floor and visit trade show exhibit booth displays in search of solutions to their healthcare information obstacles. Finding the right technology solutions among a sea of vendors is challenging.

Vendors should do their part to make trade show exhibit booth displays easier to find. By creating an original booth design, attendees are more apt to stop and visit rather than race down the hallway. There are other pre-event marketing initiatives that can also help steer traffic.

Direct Traffic to Trade Show Exhibit Booth Displays

Many industry events such as HIMSS, offer vendors the chance to purchase pre-show mailing lists. The names and contact information for all pre-registered attendees is provided for a one-time use. Vendors can take advantage of this by sending out a piece of direct mail such as post card and encouraging attendees to visit a particular booth. Some vendors even go so far as to offer free gifts or raffles for further enticement.
