Hotel High Speed Internet Access

When I look for a hotel to book when I'm on the road, one of the main criteria I insist on is high speed wireless internet access. Considering how much time I do spend online for work and for personal reasons, having high speed wireless access at my hotel is an absolute must. If that access is free of charge, then the chances that I'll book my stay at that hotel are high and if the hotel is decent, I'll most likely stay there again.

High Speed Wireless in Hotels

Providing high speed wireless access is one way many hotel chains are trying to differentiate themselves from the competition. The more research I do in this area, the more I become convinced just how effective this strategy is. There are a lot of people out there like me who depend on the Web for business communications, research, and collaboration and the numbers will only increase over time.

I remember a time when hotels that did offer wireless internet usually charged a fee for the service. You could pay by the minute, or in hour increments. Sometimes it was cheap, but sometimes it was not. Now, due to the increase in Internet dependency for work, I've seen a shift toward free high speed wireless internet at many hotels. This is great news for customers.

It's not just customers who benefit from this, however. The hotels themselves are able to attract new customers by providing this type of service to their guests. And like me, many of the newly attracted customers will become repeat business. The hotels build customer loyalty and guests experience greater convenience and less stress. Installing a Wi-Fi network in a hotel is a simple and affordable way to please customers and raise revenues and something I think we'll see more of in the coming years.
