Only an accredited distance learning degree will help you make improvements in your career. Making the decision to pursue your education through an internet browser is a big step. It also requires a serious commitment. Before you enroll in any classes, be sure you know what you're getting yourself into.

Why Do I Need Accredited Classes?

While many colleges and universities are beginning to offer online courses, not all of them transfer to college credits. Why have you decided to enroll in online courses? If you are simply looking to improve your knowledge on a subject; any class might do. For others looking to finish an existing degree or earn a new one, only accredited course work will do.

When searching for a distance learning program, be sure to ask whether the program is considered an accredited distance learning degree. While some institutions offer browser-based classes, not all will result in a bachelor's degree. You don't want to waste your time or money on a class that may not give you the results you need.

How to Find an Accredited Distance Learning Degree

Any university that is accredited will be sure to post that information in an easy-to-find place. If you have any doubts about the program call the university directly before enrolling. If the school cannot show you proof of accreditation, don't waste your time or money.
