Commercial pilot training is considered to be an excellent first step on the road to becoming a pilot. It offers a good grounding in so many different aspects of aviation. There are several stages you have to pass through before earning your certificate, but at the end of it you will have an excellent qualification. Commercial pilot training has been compared to a bachelor's degree, where you learn all the basic knowledge before moving on to more complicated stages.

Commercial Pilot Training

To earn your commercial pilot certificate you will train to fly long solo flights. Night flying will also be a very important aspect before passing your test. You will learn how to operate complex aircraft systems which will enable you to fly different aircraft in the future. You will be given the opportunity to gain all the experience needed for your final qualification.

A student will begin by learning all about aerodynamics and the theory of flying. After this knowledge has sunk in, the student will learn all about engines and flight systems. The instruments used during flight are a very important subject for a student to learn. Such knowledge enables a pilot to chart a straight course from A to B and to keep a safe distance from hazards.

There are some very important environmental issues a student will need to learn about, such as atmosphere temperature, wind, clouds, moisture and pressure. Other important aspects such as air masses and fronts will also be studied. Understanding these subjects enables pilots to make informed decisions to keep their aircraft safe.
