If you're looking for dental school scholarships and advice on selecting the right dental school, the American Dental Association can be of great service. The ADA sponsors a number of scholarships including the Dental Student Scholarship. This is a $2,500 award for second-year students who are attending accredited dental schools. To qualify for this scholarship you must have at least a 3.0 grade point average.

The ADA also works with several companies to provide a scholarship program for minority students. This scholarship is similar in nature to the Dental Student Scholarship, but applicants must be of African American, Hispanic, or Native American descent to apply. This scholarship helps to encourage under represented students to attend dental schools and become professionals in the field of dentistry.

The ADA also sponsors several scholarship programs for specific fields of study through the Allied Dental Health Scholarship program. These scholarships provide aid in the amount of $1,000 to eligible students. These scholarships are available to students enrolled in accredited dental programs for careers in dental hygiene, dental assisting, and dental laboratory technology.

When applying for any scholarship, it is important to make sure to include all of the necessary materials. It's also essential to note the application deadline, and have your submission materials in ahead of that deadline. Students applying for ADA scholarships can find out additional information by contacting the ADA directly or by checking out the official website for the American Dental Association. You can also find out additional scholarship information by contacting the financial aid department for your school.
