Shorthand Typing

Let's face it-how often do you really pick up a pen anymore? It seems that all I do all day is type, type, type! Whether I'm taking notes at the office meeting, or responding to Email, both business and personal, or just plain filling out forms, the bulk of my workday is spent right here, in front of this screen.

And it seems that my workload grows every month! Before I started learning new skills to keep up with the increasing pace of our office, I was falling farther and farther behind, and every morning became a struggle to just to catch up.

Shorthand Typing Lightened the Load

Learning shorthand typing was one of the best things I could have done for my career. Now, I'm not wasting precious time typing common and frequently used phrases over and over, which most of us tend to do. My computer simply recognizes the abbreviations I have learned and I am free to fly through my work with the ease of someone who is confident that it is going to get done!

I am in a better mood now as I work through the day. My inbox doesn't overflow anymore; in fact, it can barely keep up with me! Knowing that I am in control of my workload, instead of the other way around is a real lifesaver.
