Northern Telecom is a 104-year-old company that was originally a part of Bell Telephone of Canada. Charles Fleetford Sise, appointed as president, eventually formed Northern Electric Company, Ltd., which later became Northern Telecom. In 1995, on the 100th anniversary of the company, the name Nortel was officially adopted.

Nortel's research and development teams spent several million dollars creating the Norstar product line of business phones and systems. It is part of their stated goal and focus to support enterprise by providing innovative communications products that drive productivity and customer service while, at the same time, lowering communications costs. As thousands of small business owners can attest, they continue to fulfill that commitment and to improve on their existing systems.

Northern Telecom Phones Online

Nortel phones can be found at dozens of sites on the Internet. You can purchase a limited number of phones to start with, and you will then be able to add units as needed. The goal is always to get you what you need when you need it so that you control your communications equipment costs at all times. The great news is that you will be able to continue to use your Northern Telecom phone sets for years to come, even if you upgrade your phone system.

When purchasing Nortel phones online, check out several vendors. While price is always an issue, you will find that some vendors offer other perks, such as discounts for purchasing a specific number of phone set. You may even find sales on overstocked items. It is also fairly common for vendors to set a minimum purchase amount over which they will include free shipping. Your Nortel phones will come with a number of standard features that will help to maximize staff efficiency while delighting your employees.
