Yemen is a Middle Eastern country bordering the Arabian Sea, the Gulf of Aden, and the Red Sea. It is approximately the size of Wyoming and has a little over 19 million inhabitants. Yemen is a republic that gained its independence from the Ottoman Empire in 1918, and its two countries, North and South Yemen, were formally unified as the Republic of Yemen in 1990.

I was able to find a card that the vendor says provides callers with five-star quality calls at $.167 per minute. Their card comes with no connection fee and is subject to one minute rounding. Unused minutes will expire 365 days from the date of the first call. You should note that some cards come with a toll free calling option at a slightly higher rate.

You may find cards as low at $.08 per minute or as high as approximately $.26 per minute. Price differences are often based simply on what the company needs to cover its expenses and make a profit. On the other hand, some of the prices you will find are related to access fees in the countries you are calling as well as on the type of Yemen calling cards you are purchasing.

The two major types are cards are those that are designed for limited use and those that are rechargeable. The per minute rates for rechargeable cards are usually higher, but they generally do not have any other charges associated with them. They are good for persons who plan to call Yemen on a regular basis over a long period of time. Non-rechargeable cards are designed to be used for shorter periods of time and usually come with per call connection fees and maintenance fees.
