DVDs have overwhelmed the video reproduction market because they provide the best format available. A DVD is essentially a bigger, faster CD that can hold cinema-quality video, still photos, computer data, and better-than-CD audio. DVD technology has replaced laserdisc technology and is well on the way to replacing all VHS systems.

DVD stands for "digital video disc." Since it is a laser-based technology like a CD, it can be reproduced exactly. There are no second and third generation problems for DVD clones.

In fact, your DVD clone will be undetectable from the DVD original. That's because essentially they are the same. A DVD clone is an exact specification of the original.

DVD backup software has been developed to allow consumers to backup their DVD discs. With DVD software, an entire movie collection can be backed up by identical DVD discs. A typical disc can hold two hours of high quality digital video, and a double sided dual layered disc can hold about eight hours of high quality video.
