Fuji has been in the camera business for many years, and they have brought their expertise with them into the new realm of digital cameras. Fuji offers at least a dozen different digital cameras, geared for anyone from a frugal traveler to a professional photographer. The prices of Fuji cameras reflect this range of options--they cost anywhere from $100 to $1,000.

Varieties of Fuji Cameras

The Fuji FinePix A340 is one of the cheapest Fuji models. It is a 4-megapixel camera with a 3x optical zoom and a 1.5 inch LCD screen for viewing pictures and menu options. The A345 is a slightly better camera, offering 4.1 megapixels and a slightly larger screen. The A345 also has the ability to record short video clips.

The FinePix E510 lies somewhere in the middle of Fuji's digital camera line. It's a relatively inexpensive camera, but it has enough features and high enough quality to satisfy most consumers. The E510 is a 5.2 megapixel camera, and it has a relatively large two-inch LCD screen. The E550 is the next step up, with 6.3 megapixels and a 4x optical zoom.

For professional photographers (and serious hobbyists), Fuji offers a several top-end models. The FinePix S2 Pro Digital SLR is one of Fuji's most expensive digital cameras. It is a 6.2 megapixel camera that allows you to choose between automatic and fully manual operation. The S2 also gives you the power to change lenses; it has a Nikon F-mount and supports all AF Nikon lenses.
