Don't get fooled by many of the so called 24 hour call centers. Many are nothing more than telemarketers looking to get into your business. Signing up with the wrong call center can not only cause the quality of your business to decline, it can actually be detrimental in the long run. Here are a few things to consider and what to look for in legitimate, quality 24 hour call centers.

Good 24 Hour Call Centers

First and foremost, look at the direction of the calls. A call center that will truly be beneficial and help your business should focus its resources on inbound calls only. 24 hour call centers that say they will assist you in outbound calls are nothing more than telemarketers trying to get at your company's list of customers. Do not contract with outbound call centers.

Second, look to see what services the inbound call center offers. Poor 24 hour call centers are just glorified answering machines that will only take and deliver messages. While this is of course an important function, a good call center can do so much more. The best 24 hour call centers not only offer live answering services, but they can act as a help desk providing technical and informational support and they can even handle order-entry to capture additional sales in off hours.

24 hour call centers are only as good as the people they employ. Inquire about their hiring practices. A call center that is confident in its staff will be very upfront about who they hire and how. Make sure they have an investment in their staff and that they only hire highly motivated, professional individuals.
